Asia Pacific Regional Meeting of the Global Research Council (GRC)
29th - 30th Colombo, Sri Lanka

The National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment of New Zealand is organizing the Asia Pacific Regional meeting from 29-30 November 2017 in Colombo. The meeting will be held in hotel Galadari, Colombo. During the regional meeting members will discuss on two main topics: “Peer Review” and “Science Diplomacy” to collate the regional responses for the upcoming Annual Meeting in 2018.

Prior to the regional meeting there will be a back-to-back Workshop on ‘Research Management’ on 28th November, 2017.

As a pre-event, it is planned to hold a back-to-back workshop on Research Management on the 28th November 2017 from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the same venue with the contribution of the Resource Persons from the Global Research Council

The main objective of the workshop is to expose the Sri Lankan research community to the best practices in research management, in order to improve the current practices and subsequently enhance the capabilities of the scientific community in science and research management aspects.

There are about 110 participants including 22 GRC delegates from Asia Pacific Region along with Sri Lankan scientists from universities, Research Institutions, representatives from Research Funding Organizations including members of the NSF Working Committees and NSF Officers involved in coordinating research committees.
